[origin: EP0786278A2] The movable device has a seat (2) for a user, and foot elements (4a,b), which are movable in bearing holders in the seat. Each holder consists of a first support element (9), and a movable second counter element (10) on the foot. Each foot element is vertically movable, and has a ground contact face. When a foot is lifted off the ground, the two support elements engage and swing the foot forward. When the foot contact face is placed on the ground, the support elements disengage, and the foot element is moved vertically upwards. It is guided in the bearing holders (9,10), so that due to the vertical movement the device executes a walking movement.
