[origin: EP0786424A2] The device has two pivoted brackets, with pivoted fork-shaped prongs at the front ends. Each prong (2) has an open hook (5) at the front, and an upright hook (10) at the back, which is also open to the front. The rear end of each prong has a controlled locking unit (20-23). This acts with the rear hook, to lock with the holder journals (17) of a waste container to be emptied. The locking unit consists of a locking lever (21), which is held on the prong and pivoted by a drive (23), eg.a hydraulic cylinder. Adapted panels are positioned on the top of both prongs, with holders for side journals of a large-size refuse collection container.
