[origin: EP0786613A1] The fixing device for the operating handle (1) on the control lever of a sanitary fitting has a recess in the underside of the handle, suitable for the cross section of the control lever. The recess has two contact surfaces (4, 5) at a wedge angle to each other for the corresponding side surfaces of the control lever, which are made with a corresponding wedge angle. A transverse fixing element clamps the control lever in the recess in the angle between the two wedge surfaces.
