[origin: EP0786829A2] The device stamped out of sheet metal incorporates two rings (1,2) of unequal diameter which are fitted directly to the tapered terminal, and joined together by straps (5,6) bent through 180 degrees. Contact is made also through a two-part crimp portion (7) and metallic arms (14,15) at right angles to the straps. Each arm has a hole (17,16) through its free end for an eccentric bolt (18) whose rotation brings the straps closer to each other and narrows the gaps (4,3) in the respective rings. Complementary projections (11-13, 8-10) from the outsides of the rings are bent into engagement with one another to ensure that the rings are precisely coaxial.
