Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0787440A1] The boot sole consists of a front section (2) and a rear section (3) which covers at least the underside of the heel. The rear section is rigid, having a module of elasticity of 260 MPa to 200 GPa, and extends forwards as far as the metatarsal-phalangeal joint zone (5). The front and rear sections of the sole overlap where they join over a length (L) in or to the rear of the metatarsal-phalangeal joint zone. The front section has a connector for attaching to a ski and its lengthwise median axis lies at an angle to that of the rear section, while the latter can be made in one piece with a heel stiffener on the upper.
