Abstract (en)
The boot consists of a sole (5) and an upper (2) equipped with a rigid stiffener (3) which passes round the heel and extends along at least one side of the boot as far as the metatarsal-phalangeal flexure zone and upwards to a point just below the ankle or the pivot point (7) of a flexible upper collar (8). The stiffener can extend further along one side of the boot than the other and be lower at the heel than at its highest side point. It can also be made in one piece with the rear part of the sole and be fastened to the boot via a flexible element (13) covering the same area. The preferred materials for the stiffener are, for example, plastics reinforced by glass or carbon fibres, or metals, having a rigidity of 260 MPa to 200 GPa.

La présente invention concerne une chaussure (1) notamment destinée à des sports exigeant un déroulement du pied ou des sports de glisse, comportant une tige (2) munie d'un contrefort (3) arrière entourant le talon (11) et une semelle externe (5). Selon l'invention, le contrefort (3) est rigide et sensiblement non flexible, et s'étend sur au moins un coté de la chaussure (1) jusqu'à la zone (4) de flexion dite métatarso-phalangienne. Selon un deuxième aspect de l'invention, le contrefort (3) est rigide et sensiblement non flexible, et entoure le talon (11) et essentiellement la partie arrière de la base du pied à la manière d'une coque. Cette construction permet une transmission des efforts, tout en gardant une flexibilité de la chaussure (1) dans la zone (4) métatarso-phalangienne, grâce au renforcement de la partie arrière de la chaussure. Lesdites constructions permettent un meilleur contrôle du ski par le tenue du talon (11) et en même temps un gain général d'énergie par annulation des déformations parasites de la semelle et de la chaussure (1). <IMAGE>
