Abstract (en)
The seat and cover of a toilet are connected by at least one hinge to the toilet bowl, the hinge enabling braked movement of the seat or the cover on to the bowl. Preferably, the braking arrangement comprises a sleeve-shaped housing (31) and a shaft (32) which passes through the aperture (36) of the housing so that it has a section (41) within the housing and a section (42) outside. The inside section is able to pivot. A viscous material (40), advantageously silicone grease, is placed in the gap between the outside of the shaft inside section and the inside of the housing.

Die Einrichtung umfasst einen Sitz (2) und einen Deckel (3), wobei der Sitz (2) und der Deckel (3) über ein Scharnier (5) an die Klosettschüssel (1) angeschlossen sind. Das Scharnier (5) enthält eine Vorrichtung (30), welche eine gebremste Bewegung des Sitzes (2) und/oder des Deckels (3) gegen die Klosettschüssel (1) hin ermöglicht. <IMAGE>
