Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0787639A1] The line section block device (EB) is connected by lines (sl1,sl2) of a loop to the relay unit (RB1) which has four coils (R11-R14) and contacts (K1) with a source of voltage (Ub1). A data bus (b) links the processor (MP) to the electronic switching centre. The loop is completed through a controlled switch (SW) and variable impedance (VI). Information received from the relay station, and status information arising in the coupling unit itself, together determine whether the loop current should be changed to establish fresh states serving the neighbouring unit as a basis for any necessary state changes.
