[origin: DE4440293C1] The aerial for such as a mobile radio communication system in a road vehicle has an elastomer element (1) that is hollow and receives the antenna (20) and is secured to the body work of the vehicle. The elastomer sleeve is formed with a series of grooves and in particular one at the base (3) fits around a hole in the body to provide an effective seal. The underside of the sleeve is fitted with a spring ring (14) and this establishes earth contact with the body. Installation of the aerial onto the body is facilitated with the aid of a tool (H). The high frequency cable is brought out (30) through the base.
