Abstract (en)
A method for producing highly ductile electrically welded steel nets, particularly for use as reinforcement frames in the manufacture of reinforced-concrete structures, the method consisting in subjecting a steel billet, having a composition that contains substantially between 0.16 and 0.22% carbon, to rolling after heating in a furnace up to approximately 1200<o>C. The wire rod (1), preferably provided with ribs (2), produced by the rolling process is then subjected to a cold-deformation treatment and to assembly in a net-like configuration by electric welding. <IMAGE>
