[origin: EP0789128A1] The sill has webs (11) which support a tread surface (12) at a distance from a floor (13). It also has retaining projections (14,14') for an elastic seal, on the side which is nearest to the floor. The seal is a lasting strip (15), which is fastened to the projections by a first edge (16), and which has a second edge (17), which lies opposite the first, and which projects into the floor. The strip may be laid in the floor so that it points away from the profile at an angle of 90 degrees. A floor covering (18) may be arranged on, and adjacent to, the strip.
