Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0789190A2] The gas burner has a burner head which is mounted on a mixing pipe. A cover is held at a distance from the head, and a profiled disc (2) is arranged underneath it in order to create vortices in the gas stream. The disc has an inner circular opening, and has vane-like elements (7) in order to guide the flames. The elements are arranged on the surface of the disc, and extend across the plane of the latter. The edge of the disc which forms the elements may have radial incisions, and the sections between the incisions may have edges (8) which are each bent in order to form an acute angle to the plane of the disc.
