Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0789218A2] The firing pin (3) can move into an igniting position, from a rest position in which its end is arranged in the path of a hammer (6). The pin is moved into its rest position by a spring, and is held in this position by a spring-loaded catch (14). A releasing arrangement (9-13) works in combination with the hammer, and disengages the catch from the pin when the hammer approaches the end of its travel. The releasing arrangement is coupled permanently to the hammer.
