Abstract (en)
The road vehicle is fitted with a global positioning system that uses satellite signals to define the precise position of the vehicle. At the start of the journey the position is logged and the position of all relevant traffic monitoring devices , eg cameras, radar is provided , eg CD-ROM, radio link. The vehicle position is compared with the location of such devices. As the vehicle approaches the monitoring devices an optical or acoustic indicator is activated.

Um abrupte Bremsmanöver bei plötzlicher Erkennung von Ampel- oder Geschwindigkeits-Überwachungseinrichtungen zu vermeiden, wird ein Positionsbestimmungssystem für Kraftfahrzeuge vorgeschlagen, bei dem ein optischer und/oder akustischer Melder die Annäherung des Fahrzeuges an derartige Überwachungseinrichtungen anzeigt. Dabei wird ein satellitengestützter Rechner verwendet, der über einen Datenspeicher verfügt, in dem die Positionskoordinaten der Verkehrsüberwachungseinrichtungen vorhanden sind.
