Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0789374A1] The gas pressure discharge device for filling a circuit breaker comprises a cut-off chamber communicating directly with a filling block (6) containing dielectric gas. This is carried by a support frame. The pressure discharge device comprises an orifice (12) passing through a wall of the circuit breaker and connecting the inside of the cut-off chamber (3) to the outside of the circuits breaker. A membrane (13) covers this orifice to form a seal, and is held to the wall by fixings (14,15). A spring loaded device is provided with a sharp point to puncture this membrane when gas is required, the device being remotely controlled.
