Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0789427A2] The connector has contact elements (15) for electrically connecting contacts of at least two electric circuit boards (1,2). Holding devices (16) hold the contact elements (15) in their correct position inside the connector (10). The contact elements (15) and the holding devices (16) are formed and/or arranged such that forces exerted on the holding devices (16) by and/or via the contact elements (15) at least partly increase in the region of the holding device. Preferably, the connector (10) is formed to electrically connect parallel circuit boards (1,2). The circuit board contacts may be surface contacts. Preferably, the contact elements (15) are elements inserted through channels (14) in the connector (10). The channels (14) are formed and dimensioned such that the ends of the contact elements are elastically pressed back in the channels to the connection point.
