[origin: DE4439586A1] A car-washing brush for a car wash has a rotary shaft to which are rotatively fixed flat cleaning elements made of a flexible material spaced apart from each other and perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the shaft. In order to improve cleaning performance and increase the friction of the washing brush against the surface to be cleaned in the installation, the cleaning elements have a polygonal cross-section in their plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation.
