[origin: WO9612568A1] The invention concerns a powder coating booth (1) comprising at least one spraying unit (4) connected to at least one powder-preparation and feed unit (6). This booth has a small base surface and is in the form of a column whose height depends on the workpiece to be coated. A closable slot (3) is provided in at least one of the booth walls and is designed for the passage of at least one powder-spraying unit (4) . In cross-section, the booth can be circular or square or combined, for example oval, rectangular or the like. When the slot(s) (3) is (are) closed, a cleaning unit (20) is introduced and automatically cleans the booth interior. In addition, at least one double flap arrangement (32) can be provided on a booth wall area such that the booth can be switched universally to automatic and/or manual operation. If a lock device is provided on the inlet and/or outlet side, it can be transformed to form a pre-coating space or after-coating space. Furthermore, preferably at least the booth wall area opposite the powder-spraying unit (4) is non-conductive. To this end, this wall area can be made totally or partially from a non-conductive material. If necessary, a non-conductive coating can be applied to the corresponding necessary areas or to entire wall surfaces.
