[origin: WO9614163A1] A method and a device for atomizing fluid, for instance Diesel oil in an internal combustion engine, where an impact body (86) having an impact surface (87) is arranged on a piston (81) of a Diesel engine cylinder and a second impact body (71) having an impact surface (73) is slideably arranged under the influence of a coil spring (70) in the cylinder head (69) of the cylinder. Diesel oil is provided to the surface (73) from an inlet (80) through conduits (78, 76, 75 and 74). The movement of the piston (81) towards the cylinder head (69) results in impact of the surfaces (73 and 87) thereby atomizing the Diesel oil therebetween at the appropriate moment to achieve optimum combustion of the fuel.
