Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0790072A1] The agitator lid, especially for tins of paint supported beneath racks (3), has a first helical gear (9) for engaging with an endless drive screw and fixed to the top end of an agitator spindle (9), and a detachable sprocket (19) to engage with a chain (17). The sprocket is of greater diameter than the helical gear and has hooks on its under surface to engage with the gear for a coaxial mounting. The hooks on the sprocket are spaced at regular intervals round its under surface, and can be in different shapes, e.g. shaped to engage with the helical gear's teeth for easy fitting and removal.
