Abstract (en)
The coupler is entirely symmetrical with respect to its ports (P1-P4). The through path and the branch contain equal numbers of input lines (LE) and quarter-wave lines (L4) connected by T-junctions (VP). The coupling capacitors (C1-C3) interconnecting the corresponding junctions of the two paths are constituted by breaks in the integrated waveguide structure. The capacitance is chosen in relation to the amount of power to be coupled out of the through path into the branch. The numbers of junctions, quarter-wave sections and capacitors are chosen in accordance with the relative bandwidth requirement.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Richtkoppler, der vollständig in integrierter Technologie (MIC oder MMIC) herstellbar ist, insbesondere für das X-Band. Der Richtkoppler kann vorzugsweise für eine hohe Koppeldämpfung (>30 dB) und eine hohe Richtschärfe (>30 dB) ausgelegt werden bei einer großen relativen Bandbreite (ungefähr 20%). Dieses wird erreicht durch eine stufenförmige Anordnung aus mehreren λ/4-Wellenleitern und zwischen den Pfaden des Kopplers angeordneten Koppelkondensatoren. <IMAGE>
