[origin: EP0711515A1] The liner, pre-shaped to fit inside a standard boot, has at least one wedging element (5) of thermoplastic foam, pre-shaped by thermo-compression and has micro-perforations (10) to make it more supple and elastically compressible as well as permeable. The wedging element (5) is fitted between the inner (12) and outer (11) walls of the liner. It can be made independent of the liner and attached to either its inner or outer wall, and extend over only a portion of their surfaces.
