Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9709260A1] A process for transferring loaded goods in the form of load units, such as containers, swap bodies, semitrailers or the like, between rail and road vehicles, by means of movable transferring devices, comprises the following steps: to unload a rail vehicle (2) a hoisting device (8) travelling on a crane bridge (7) is positioned over the rail traffic line (1); as the rail vehicle (2) to be unloaded travels slowly through the transfer zone, the hoisting device (8) identifies the loading points on the goods (6.1) to be unloaded and assumes a speed synchronous to the rail vehicle (2) - and thus to the loaded goods (6.1); the hoisting device (8) then grasps the loaded goods (6.1), conveys them by means of the crane bridge (7) across and out of the clearance gauge of the rail area and sets them down. The device for carrying out this process is designed accordingly.
