Abstract (en)
The fluid chamber (10) consists of a base (12) with apertures for tubes (28), and a cover (38) which is brazed to the raised edge (14) of the base. The base is made with a series of stamped projections (32) along each side, designed to hold the cover in place against its raised edges prior to brazing. Each of the stamped projections has a generating surface which lies parallel to the raised edge of the base, and is set at a distance from it which is equal to or slightly greater than the thickness of the cover. The projections can be made in the shape of cylindrical studs or domes. Both base and cover are made from aluminium or an aluminium-based alloy.

L'invention concerne un échangeur de chaleur du type à boîte à fluide brasée. L'échangeur de chaleur comprend une plaque collectrice (10) munie d'un fond (12) propre à être relié à un faisceau de tubes (28), ainsi qu'une boîte à fluide (38) terminée par un bord périphérique (36) propre à s'engager dans un rebord périphérique (14) de la plaque collectrice, le fond (12) comportant une multiplicité de saillies embouties (32) disposées de façon espacée et à proximité du rebord périphérique (14) pour assurer le maintien en contact de ce bord périphérique (14) et du rebord périphérique (36) en vue de leur liaison par brasage. Application aux échangeurs de chaleur pour véhicules automobiles. <IMAGE>
