[origin: EP0792605A1] The baby sling comprises a length of material (1) longer by at least 200 to 350% than the height of the carrier, folded in half (2) and looped round so that the two ends of the material are tied with a knot (4) at the front. The material may be, preferably, at least 400 cm long and 50 cm wide. The weave of the fabric should have a high diagonal stretchability. The fabric may be made of natural fibres. The long sides can be double seamed. The material length may be placed over the shoulders to form a loop at the back through which the longer end of the material is passed and then tied at the front.
