[origin: EP0792784A1] The drive device has a drive motor (2) supported on a drive axis via a bearing arrangement (6). A pinion (414) is connected to the motor shaft. A gear (3) contains a toothed wheel (15) connected to the drive axle (5) and to be coupled to the pinion (14). A gear housing (27) supported on the drive axle (5) and the motor housing (12) contains the toothed wheel (15) and the pinion (14). The bearing arrangement (6) and the motor housing (12) each have an extension associated respectively with the toothed wheel or the pinion. The gear housing contains a first connection part (31) fixedly connectable to one of the extensions and a second connection part movable connectable to the other extension. A sealing support arrangement (34) which can be bent back in the radial and/or axial direction is inserted between the first and second connection parts to support the second.
