[origin: DE19607537C1] The machine comprises a blade slide (30) which is movable over the length of a roll and a blade (38) arranged on the slide which can be inserted under the casing in order to cut it away from the inside. On the blade side, behind the blade is a further blade (48), with which during the cutting away of the casing one or more connecting windings of the roll can be cut. The further blade is adjustable approximately radially to the roll. It can be loaded with an approximately radial force in relation to the roll, which is adjustable and is constant during movement along the roll. The further blade is circular and for it a running wheel (49) is provided, limiting its penetration depth.

An einem über die Länge einer Rolle (R) bewegbaren Messerschlitten (30) ist ein Messer (38) angeordnet, das unter eine Hülle (D) einfühbar ist, um sie von innen her aufzuschneiden. Hinter dem Messer (38) ist am Messerschlitten (30) ein weiteres Messer (48) angeordnet, mit dem während des Aufschneidens der Hülle (D) eine oder mehrere an diese anschließende Windungen der Rolle (R) aufschneidbar sind. <IMAGE>
