Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0792977A1] The flashing material consists of a strip of a malleable material, either lead or bitumen-based, folded into a series of transverse pleats (3) and then folded lengthwise to make two sides (1,2) at an angle to one another, linked by a continuous transitional zone (15). The thickness of the strip is between 0.4 and 3 mm, and the height of the pleats is between three and 10 times the thickness. One of the two sides of the folded strip is between 1.5 and 4 times the width of the other.
