Abstract (en)
This novel method steers equipment forming a borehole, especially in near-horizontal drilling. At intervals, steering impulses are exerted. Also claimed is a steerable drilling unit. This has a drill string (7) connected to a drilling head (8). There is a steering element (9) at the drilling head. Here there is also an impact unit, or a rotation- and feed device. Controls release impacts continuously onto the steering element, or when the drill string is also impact-driven the impact impulse is interrupted if the angular position of the steering element corresponds the required alteration of direction.

Verfahren zum Lenken eines Geräts zum Herstellen von Erdbohrungen, insbesondere eines im Boden drehend und schiebend sowie gegebenenfalls schlagend angetriebenen Bohrgestänges (7) mit einem Bohrkopf (8,32), bei dem mindestens ein richtungsändernder Impuls stets dann auf den sich drehenden Bohrkopf zur Wirkung gebracht wird, bzw. auf den Bohrkopf wirkende Impulse stets dann unterbrochen werden, wenn die Winkellage des Bohrkopfes bezüglich seiner Achse der Lage entspricht, in der die Richtungsänderung erfolgen soll. <IMAGE>
