[origin: EP0793066A2] The appliance has a refrigeration compartment (6) and a freezer compartment (7) separated from one another by a horizontal partition wall (4), with a cooling fan (11) in the upper part of the refrigeration compartment at the top of cooling air duct (10) leading to the rear end of the partition wall. The cooling air circulated through the freezer compartment reaches the refrigeration compartment via a gap between the front edge of the partition wall and the appliance door (8), with the cold air distribution controlled by the running time of the compressor or the operating duration or speed of the cooling fan.
