Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0793938A2] The nozzle is pivoted and spring loaded in such a way as to keep the gap between the nozzle and the surface being cleaned at an optimum level for all surfaces. The suction nozzle has a sole plate (4) which contacts the ground surface and is flexibly attached to the nozzle housing (3) by means of screws (5). One or more of the springs are under spring (10) pressure, allowing the nozzle to tilt and pivot according to the ground profile. The housing (3) is attached to the suction hose (1) through a cylindrical joint, centred on the axis of the wheels, permitting a pivoting action of the housing.
