The silencer/exhaust comprises a T-shaped exhaust inlet pipe (4) with exhaust gas inlet on the sleeve side and a T-shaped exhaust branch of which one end is mounted in the absorption chamber (2) and the other end is mounted in the reflection chamber (1). The end sides of the T-shaped branch are closed and outflow openings (5,6) are formed on the sleeve side in the branch pipe both on the side of the absorption chamber and on the side of the reflection chamber. An exhaust outlet pipe (15) may have its inlet in the reflection chamber and extending at least in part through the absorption chamber.

Bei einem kombinierten Reflexions-Absorptions-Schalldämpfer (20) mit einer Reflexionskammer (1) und einer Absorptionskammer (2) sind ein im wesentlichen T-förmiges Abgas-Eintrittsrohr (4) und ein Abgas-Austrittsrohr (15) vorgesehen. Das Eintrittsrohr besitzt einen mantelseitigen Abgas-Einlaß und eine T-förmigen Abgas-Aufzweigung, deren eines Ende in der Absorptionskammer (2) und deren anderes Ende in der Reflexionskammer (1) angeordnet ist, wobei mantelseitige Ausströmöffnungen (5, 6) in der Abgas-Aufzweigung sowohl auf der Absorptionskammerseite als auch auf der Reflexionskammerseite ausgebildet sind. Das Austrittsrohr (15) besitzt einen mantelseiten Auslaß und eine Ausströmdüse bzw. Venturidüse (7) auf der Reflexionskammerseite sowie einen bogenförmigen Abschnitt in der Absorptionskammer (1), welcher weitere mantelseitigen Auströmöffnungen (8) enthält. <IMAGE>
