Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0794384A2] The small capacity gas burner is for domestic use. It has a pipe (5) bringing pre-mixed gas and air to a burner plate (7) with a large number of holes (8) in it. The air-gas mixture steams though these holes and burns on the downstream side. The burner plate may be heated to help stabilise the flames (2). The plate may be heated by circulating hot flue-gases round it, electric heating or a ceramics plate to reflect heat back towards the burner plate. A second burner plate (4) may be mounted over the first one. It has a series of holes in it (3) which match the holes in the first plate.
