[origin: WO9711789A1] A sonar array for mounting on an underwater vehicle to form an auxiliary head thereon is disclosed. The sonar array comprises at least two identical transducers and has sensitivity peaks at at least two frequencies ( nu 1, nu 2). The characteristic dimension of the transducer horn is 0.35-0.65 times the wavelength ( lambda 2) corresponding to the highest of said frequencies ( nu 1, nu 2).
