[origin: WO9617366A1] Proposed is a miniature relay with a design which simplifies assembly and with an improved magnetic drive. The magnetic drive includes a permanent magnet and a fixed coil (18) with a core (19) mounted centrally in it, the core actuating a sliding contact (14) via an armature (31) acting as a shift lever. With no current in the coil (18), the armature (31) is held essentially by the permanent magnet (21), a yoke (20) resting against one pole face (27) to act as a pole piece and a conductor plate (22) resting against the other pole face (28). When current flows in the coil (18), a magnetic field is produced which tilts the armature (31) into the "ON" position illustrated.
