Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9617414A1] A current supply device for low voltage equipment, in particular lamps, has at least one conductor rail (1; 1'; 1"; 1''') shaped as a section (2; 2'; 2"; 2''') with at least one longitudinal groove (3, 3'a, 3'b; 3"a, 3"b; 3''') in which is arranged at least one current lead (6; 6'; 6"; 6'a, 6'b; 6"a, 6"b; 6'''a, 6'''b) capable of contacting a current consumer (10; 10'; 10"; 10''') that has a thread as mechnical holding means capable of being screwed into the longitudinal groove. The current lead is preferably arranged at the bottom (4, 4'a, 4'b) of the longitudinal groove (3; 3'a, 3'b) and is insulated on all sides with soft plastics or rubber. The face of the current consumer (10) has a contact shaped as a point (14) that punctures the current lead insulation when the thread is screwed down. The side walls (8) of the longitudinal groove (3) may have flutes (9) that correspond to the thread of holding means (11).
