Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0795281A2] A cycling shoe includes a sole (2), a high-cut component (5) coupled to the sole (2) for enveloping an ankle, and a separate anklebone cover (11) fastened to the high-cut component (5). The high-cut component (5) may be formed of a stretchable material, and the high-cut component (5) may include overlapping portions (32) removably attached to each other. With such a structure, the anklebone is always protected, and the high-cut component (5) can be easily inclined relative to the sole (2) so as not to impede riding. <IMAGE>
