[origin: EP0795310A2] The stimulus components (2-4) are so distributed on a rectangular basic unit (1) that those with the greatest strength of stimulation are located in the edge area of the rectangle. Those with the medium stimulation strength are in the connecting area and those with the smallest strength of stimulation are in the central point of the rectangle. Four basic units are assembled to form a functional group so that a corner of them is grouped around a central point. The stimulus components with the lowest strength (4) are formed as regular pyramids with a quadratic basic surface and those of medium strength (3) and of the greatest strength are formed as a sharp tetrahedron, with a basic surface.
