[origin: EP0795356A1] A new sealing and covering strip (100) is partially coated with an adhesive layer (21) along the longitudinal axis. Body (16) sections are joined together by lips (13, 14) on the strip. In this original development, a hollow recess (22, 23) is seen between the connecting lips and the adhesive layer. Preferably, in place of a hollow recess between lip and adhesive layer there may be an inclined surface. Other shapes are possible. The shape is symmetrical. Various other lip and flank shapes are described. Various angled, curved and slanted shapes are possible for the upper surface.
