[origin: EP0795507A2] The plant transports sheets of paper of different length, and folds them using rollers and adjustable end-stops (21). The rollers automatically adapt the folding slot width to the thickness of the paper being folded. There is no folding bar or axle. The arrangement has a set of adjacent sprung rollers (3) of a certain diameter (Da), with press-rollers (4), of another diameter (Db) which is less than half of them, which lie on a symmetrical axis with them. The end-stop position is adjustable between the pressure rollers and also redirects paper. The pressure-rollers are sub-divided in the direction of the axis. The end-stop adjustment zone funnels into the gaps (42). Additional guidance rollers (9) and further pressure rollers are incorporated as required.
