Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0795667A2] The pivot arm (6) is operated by the grip (3) and a transmission part, particularly a "Bowden" (RTM) cable, is coupled to it. This enables the door to be opened using transmission parts. A mass stop (10) is pivotably located against spring pressure, which in the event of a side collision locates by reason of its mass in a blocking position, in which opening of the door is prevented. The mass stop is linked to the pivot arm and in the blocking position a pivoting of the pivot arm into the open position is prevented. The mass stop does not block operation of the handle in its normal position and is movable into the blocking position by the acceleration caused by a side collision.
