[origin: EP0671544A1] The profiled slats (2) of the shutter (1) are secured to a winding shaft (4) working in bearings in a housing, and slide in lateral guide rails (3). A locking device (13,14) fixed in position in one or both rails extends automatically, into the path of the slats, preventing unauthorised operation. This is rendered inoperative on turning the shaft in the winding direction. The lock can be situated near and inlet-funnel portion in the rail. It can work with lateral protrusions in the slats, typically consisting of slides (8), and can consist of a lever spring-loaded into the engaged position and deflected by the protrusions during closing.
