Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0796600A1] The device for smoothing the skin comprises a body which can be held and a base plate within the body which can be heated by an electric resistance heating element (R1). A thermostat (TH) is provided to control the temperature of the base plate during a predetermined cycle of operation. A motor (M) is provided to generate vibrations, with a electronic control circuit (CT). The control circuit (CT) includes the heating resistance, with the supply being derived from an alternating current to operated both the motor and the resistance heating element. The electric motor and the heating element are supplied with current during different parts of the AC cycle, so that the operation of one element does not affect the power available to the other.
