Abstract (en)
The toothed rotary blade (4) has a circular segment (3) protruding through a slot in the cast-iron bedplate (2) along which the piece of timber (1) is propelled by a reciprocating pusher (5) acting on its end (23). The thrust is terminated when the cleat attains the cutting zone of the blade. In front of the cleat, a free-running roller (9) on a jointed arm (8) with a return spring (10), presses the workpiece against the bedplate. The pusher is pivoted (12) on a yoke (7) which can be adjusted vertically to suit the thickness of the workpiece.
