Abstract (en)
The door or window frame (1) consists of fixed (2) and opening (3) sections of solid wood, the exposed outer surfaces of which are clad with hollow aluminium or PVC extrusions (4), each with an inner ventilation cavity (5). In a variant the PVC extrusions can be made from expanded PVC with a closed cellular structure. The extrusions have the same cross-section, whether they are used for the fixed or opening frame member. They are made with inner flanges for fastening to the frame members by stainless steel screws. The aluminium is coated to protect it from corrosion.

Une construction de châssis hétérogène sans entretien composée de différents matériaux contient d'une part un châssis en bois (1) en bois massif dont le côté extérieur d'aussi bien le dormant (2) que la partie ouvrante ou basculante (3) est garnie de profils de recouvrement (4) qui sont composés, de façon remarquable, d'une autre matière que du bois, en particulier d'aluminium ou de PVC, le cas échéant d'autres métaux et/ou matières synthétiques. Selon l'invention, un profil de recouvrement creux qui présente une chambre de ventilation de forme trapézoïdale (50) est particulièrement appropriée. La chambre d'aération (5) présente des saillies (6) qui servent de guidages pour le calage d'une fixation d' angle (7). <IMAGE>
