[origin: EP0797006A2] The base part acts as connector between a rising pipe (12) and a pump (16) located in a sewer manhole. It has at least two pump connections and at least one integrated back pressure valve. The pump connections each open into a connection socket (22), which are positioned relative to each other at an angle of 180 degrees or less, e.g. between 45 degrees and 35 degrees The valve is a ball valve. The pump connections are formed as coupling parts (18b), screwed to the sockets. Each part has a valve seat (25) for a ball (26), which is freely moved by the connection sockets and acts as a common valve body.
