[origin: EP0797055A1] The hot water tank has an outer thermal insulation jacket made from two end covers and a cylinder. The covers and cylinder are joined together by a moulded recess (8) round the cover and a matching projection round the end of the cylinder. The covers and cylinder are joined together over the hot water tank, and the space between then is then filled with an insulating material such as polyurethane foam. The outer shell of the jacket is made, for example, from thin sheet metal.
