Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0797069A2] The device scans the field with a number of beams each associated with its own optical imaging system. The output from a laser diode array (18) passes through a beam-broadening cylindrical lens (20) to a polygonal mirror (22) which has 12 facets (28) and rotates about its longitudinal axis (24). An infrared image sensor (10) and an RGB row detector (14) in the visible wavelength region are aligned with separate imaging systems (12,16). The beams overlap at least partially within the field of view.
