Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0797226A1] The high voltage control is a spring loaded (21) rod section (13) in an inert dielectric gas, e.g. sulphur hexafluoride, chamber. There is a second connected rod (13A) which slides into the first. The rod is connected to a spring loaded (31) plunger (34) in a second chamber (32). The chamber has a tube (40) connecting to the main area of inert gas, with a vane (41) to allow gas to enter. There is also a second tube (50) with a pump (51) to create a vacuum. The vane and pump can be controlled to reset the switch.
