Abstract (en)
[origin: WO9618443A1] A method for making a jigsaw puzzle having original features. The cutting lines (3) of the puzzle (1) include a variable number of straight segments (6) of varying lengths. The straight segments are such that all the non-edge pieces (5) of the puzzle each have at least one straight side. This makes the puzzle harder and therefore more interesting to assemble than a conventional puzzle. The straight segments (6) are arranged in such a way that they do not define, inside the outer edge (2) of the puzzle, any closed polygon lines, i.e. any polygons, or any polygon line linking two separate points on the outer puzzle edge. Each puzzle piece is therefore secured to the rest of the puzzle in the plane thereof. Many puzzle patterns of all shapes and sizes and of all kinds may thus be provided.
